Form & Function: Our Hips as We Age

Karin Stephan On-Demand

Recorded: Sunday, 27th March 2022

In this workshop, “Form and Function: Our Hips as We Age”, recorded on March 27, 2022, Karin Stephan leads you through a sequence that explores the relationship between the correct form of the Yoga asanas and the positive results both physically and mentally. Karin gives particular emphasis on our hips and our pelvis and focus on their alignment principles in relationship to the rest of our body as we age.

Plus, Rahel Wasserfall PhD, Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT) of Artemis Yoga leads you through a sequence, initially taught by Patricia Walden, that explores the benefits of a healthy spine and its critical role in maintaining mobility and stability as we age. “Cultivating resilience means to give oneself permission to open up to the unknown. To become adaptable, pliable, nimble, not just in one’s body but also in one’s mind - to be accepting to the possibilities of our body. Yoga helps us to be resilient enough to try new things and the stability to endure.”
